Objectives:

1. To formulate and determine policies on drugs and pharmaceuticals so as to align with the National Health Policy.
2. To optimise drug therapy and provision of pharmaceutical care through effective pharmaceutical control and up-to- date clinical and professional pharmaceutical services.
3. To ensure that drug expenditure is at economic level and quality medicines are available at the point of need.
4. To generate consumer awareness on issues informed and rational use and adverse events through constant consumer patient education.
